May 25-26

We went to Chicago for Memorial Day. We met up with some college friends and some of Lisa's high-school friends. We started the trip off on Sunday afternoon and had very little traffic the entire way to Grant's place, where we met his girlfriend Julie. We then met up with Rena and her boyfriend Zach (Zock) and headed to a little Italian restaurant for dinner. After dinner we headed over to see Marcie, her place and also meet the team that she is doing Mission Year with. We played a game and had fun that night. On Monday we got up and had breakfast at Grant's place. Grant was quite the host making up a smorgasbord of food. Then we headed downtown to Michigan Ave where we stopped inside a few stores to just look around. Then we walked down to Buckingham Fountain and then walked over to the walkway the runs along the lake. We headed up to Navy Pier and spent our time just enjoying the nice weather and talking with Grant and Marcie. We grabbed a bite to eat at the Pier and then headed back to Grant's. We stayed a bit talking and playing cards and then we packed up the car and headed home. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone and we even ended up with a little sunburn because of how nice the weather was! Here are some
pictures from our trip.

Although Lisa's birthday was in March we got one of Lisa's presents tonight. David's parents bought us ticktes to see Riverdance. We got all dressed-up for the night. It was a very good show, with lots of entertainment. Lisa and I had a great time and would suggest seeing this show to anyone.

May 2-4

We went down to Indianapolis for the weekend. We stayed with the Ehrlich's which allowed us to spend as much time as possible with Phil and Amber as they made the trek down from Vermillion, SD. We were all in town because Meagan Daniels (one of David's friends) was getting married. We arrived in town on Friday night and enjoyed a wonderful meal that Mama E. had prepared for us and then we spend the rest of the night catching up with everyone's lives. Saturday morning we went to Einstein's Bagel's because Phil and Amber aren't blessed with such good food in Vermillion. Dan and Liz met up with us at Einstein's, from there we headed over to a pool hall and played some pool before catching lunch. After lunch, it was a mad rush to get dressed and wrap the wedding presents and get to the wedding. The wedding was held at a beautiful church and the ceremony was very nice. The reception was equally as nice as we had a great meal, wine, and dancing. We had a lot of fun at the reception and it was really nice to see some friends that we had not seen in close to 9 months if not longer. We drove back up to GR on Sunday stopping on our way at the Outlet Mall, where we spent around 4 hours shopping. We both enjoyed doing that and we were able to get some new clothes for the summer, which was nice. Here are some pictures from our weekend.
