Surprise Visit To NC
We were sneaky this long weekend. David and his dad planned a trip to the beach down in NC to surprise his mom. David's family is moving 2 hours north of Charlotte to Cary, NC. His father took a position with John Deere and is moving the family. They finally found a house that they really like and are excited about that. It's been a little tough on his mom with the move and everything else, so we wanted to surprise her. We packed up and headed to the airport Wednesday night and arrived at their apartment at 11:30 at night. David's mom had no clue and was quite surprised to see us. We had a wonderful time at the beach and the weather was much more co-operative than the weather in Michigan. We did some sight-seeing and a lot of relaxing, which was great for everyone. The condo that David's dad got was right on the water. When we walked out onto the balcony you could see the beach (we were on the 1st livable floor, no rooms were at ground level due to flooding possibilities). We took walks on the beach, searched for sea shells, watched people fishing, took a fairy to another sight-seeing area, went to the aquarium on the island and just relaxed.
