Homecoming
This year I again ventured to MA the weekend of LCA's Homecoming. I figure I should probably stop trying to do this, as the last 2 years I've caused nothing but rain and canceled games on Saturday! But it was really good to see my parents and to be able to get together with some of my friends as well(Pat & Katie and Grant – too bad I forgot my camera those days so there are no pictures!).
We did some fun things while we were there. My mom and I took Kayla apple picking at a place that had a petting zoo and a corn maze. Kayla LOVED it and so did we!
Then we went to Homecoming, even though the games were canceled. They have some fun games and a "bounce" (as Kayla calls it) that was fun. Since there was such a poor turnout (due to the rain) she was able to be on the bounce as long as she wanted to, and she had a BLAST!
Another day we went to the Aquarium in downtown Boston. They have some huge seals on a display outside and Kayla LOVED running up and down and chasing them. She also enjoyed the fish (especially the sharks!).
And then we just enjoyed time at home.... playing dress-up with grandma, doing banks with grandpa, swinging in their yard, etc.
We had a great trip and I got a really nice chance to have a break from Kayla. It would have been fun if David could have joined us, but we enjoyed the girl trip very much!
