Mother's Day
I had a wonderful heart-themed Mother's Day this year! David took both kids and let me sleep in a little bit. When I woke up, Kayla brought me a huge card that she had colored (she actually made smiley faces with legs and a bow in her hair - the most detailed drawing she's ever made!) and two presents.
The first present is a Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor. I had asked for this as a present and David followed through! We have a good friend who has one and loves it and I thought it would be a great motivator for me to get myself back in shape and lose my extra baby weight! I've used it a few times and love it! I am such a numbers person, so it's really fun for me to see exactly how my workouts are burning calories!
The other gift isn't actually for Mother's Day, it's a present for giving birth to Isaac. When I was in the hospital with Kayla, David surprised me with a heart-shaped necklace with Kayla's birthstone (peridot) in it. His idea was that when/if we had other children, we would add their birthstones to the necklace. We thought Isaac would be born in April but obviously was born in March (saving us quite a bit of money on the stone, since it's aquamarine not a diamond!!). We brought the necklace to the jeweler to have them add his birthstone to my necklace. David picked it up and surprised me with it on Mother's Day. I absolutely LOVE it and wear it with pride. I am proud to have carried and delivered my two kids and I love that I have something sentimental to commemorate that.

Thanks David for making Mother's Day so special for me! I love having two children. I know I am incredibly blessed to have them and to have a loving and supportive husband. It was nice to spend a restful day reflecting on that!

So pretty! Now I want Andrew to get a move on the mother's ring we've been talking about for YEARS.
