Preschool!!
Kayla started preschool this month. We had a popsicle meet and greet on Sept 1, and she was pumped and ready to go! She had a lot of fun, however she all but refused to smile in any picture!
We had our first unofficial day on the 10th. David and I went and met with all the other parents and the director as we went over rules and procedures and forms. The kids, meanwhile played inside and outside and Kayla had a good time! She skipped all the way to school and loved her backpack!
Then the first week they had abreviated days (only met for just over an hour) to get them adjusted. The first day she went in with a smile and I went away with a smile. It was fabulous! She has been happy as can be on the walk home and says she loves her preschool. Here is Kayla and one of her teachers on her first day!
I am going to love having just one child for that precious 2.5 hours 2x a week! I can either give my attention to Isaac alone, get some things done with just one child, or work/nap/whatever when he sleeps. I think this is a win-win situation for all!
Maybe one day I'll even look back on her 2nd day of preschool and smile at the fact that the teachers had to tell me that she needed to sit in a time out because she bit another little girl.... oh my, what am I going to do with this child?!
