Easter 2011
Easter was very low key for us this year becuase it was just the 4 of us. The kids both wore new Easter outfits, we enjoyed our church service and a nice Easter dinner. We also did an Easter egg hunt outside, which Kayla loved! And we hid her Easter basket and gave her clues as a scavenger hunt! My parents used to do that for me every year and I loved it, so we wanted to continue that tradition!
We had a lot of conversations this lent season with Kayla about Jesus and how he was killed, how He wore a crown of thorns and was mocked, and how He rose from the dead so we can go to heaven. Her understanding is obviously very basic, but it is so fun to share our faith with her and hear the questions she has.
In the days following Easter we continued to have Easter egg hunts. Sometimes Kayla liked to hide them for me to find, which was very cute! Isaac found an egg during one of our hunts and opened by himself and proceeded to shove all the M&Ms in his mouth before I could stop him! He was SO VERY PROUD of himself, it was really hilarious to watch!
Trying to get a picture of the kids together proved interested, but we did get some nice pictures of our whole family!
