Beach!
We took a mini-vacation to the beach for the weekend! The Taylor's and Steph and Laura came too and we had a blast! We drove down Saturday morning and went right to the beach. Both our kids absolutely love the beach! We spent about 4 hours there before we headed in for dinner. We enjoyed a yummy Mexican meal. Kayla discovered that she LOVED queso dip! After dinner we headed downtown to walk around for awhile. We had some ice cream at Kilwin's and enjoyed looking around. The next day we headed to the beach again for another 4 hours. Again, the kids loved the beach, loved playing in the waves and water and sand. David had a blast building a small tide pool for the kids (he actually had to make 2 and the next day his shoulders were killing him!). Then we headed back home. It was a whirlwind trip, but the beach was only about 3 hours away and we had such a great time it was worth it!
